Psychiatrist Serving Jupiter, Florida

Board-certified psychiatric care for children, teens, and adults. In-person visits a short drive from Jupiter, or connect by secure video from home.

Psychiatric Care for Jupiter Families

Jupiter has great schools, beautiful outdoor spaces, and a real sense of community. But when your child needs psychiatric care, the options in northern Palm Beach County are limited. Most child and adolescent psychiatrists in the Jupiter and Tequesta area are booked months out, leaving parents stuck on waitlists while their child continues to struggle.

NS Psychiatry is located about 20 minutes south of Jupiter at 420 US Highway 1, Suite 14 in North Palm Beach. From Indiantown Road, the Abacoa neighborhood, Jupiter Farms, or Tequesta, it's a quick trip down US-1 or I-95. We also offer telehealth appointments for families who prefer not to make the drive or who can't pull their child out of school at Jupiter High, Independence Middle, or Jupiter Elementary. You get the same quality of care from your home.

Jonathan Stevens, M.D., M.P.H. leads our practice with a level of training and specialization that's rare in this area. He's Harvard-trained, board certified in general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and addiction medicine. Every treatment plan at NS Psychiatry is built under his clinical direction. His team includes Hayli Brand Lapaglia and Taylor Welty, both board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioners who bring warmth, patience, and real clinical skill to every appointment.

If your child has been flagged for attention issues at school, if your teenager's anxiety has started affecting their sleep and social life, or if you've been putting off your own mental health care, we're accepting new patients right now. Most people are seen within 48 hours.

Common Questions

FAQs for Jupiter Patients

How far is NS Psychiatry from Jupiter?

Our office is at 420 US Highway 1, Suite 14 in North Palm Beach, approximately 20 minutes south of Jupiter. If you're coming from Indiantown Road, US-1 south takes you straight there. From Abacoa or Jupiter Farms, you can also hop on I-95 south to exit 77.

Do you offer telehealth for families in Jupiter?

Yes. Telehealth is available for many initial consultations and for all follow-up appointments. Families in Tequesta, Jupiter Farms, and the Abacoa area especially like the convenience of a video visit without the drive south.

What's the difference between a psychiatrist and a therapist?

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can diagnose psychiatric conditions and prescribe medication. A therapist provides talk therapy but cannot prescribe. At NS Psychiatry, we focus on psychiatric evaluation and medication management. If therapy is also needed, we can coordinate with your child's therapist to make sure everyone is on the same page.

My child's school recommended a psychiatric evaluation. Can you help?

Absolutely. We see many Jupiter families who come to us after a teacher, school counselor, or pediatrician has raised concerns about attention, behavior, or emotional regulation. Our initial consultation is a thorough 90-minute evaluation where we get the full picture before making any recommendations.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Most new patients are seen within 48 hours of booking. We keep our schedule open specifically because we know how difficult it is to find availability elsewhere in northern Palm Beach County.
